A Reintroduction to Our Hospitality Clients

To our hospitality clients across North America, since Covid first hit, we’ve not seen many of you in person. And though we’ve been busy working with many of you on projects, there was so much movement in the industry. Allow us to reintroduce ourselves.

Like many companies, we’re not doing some things the same way we used to. For one, you probably won’t see us coming in to present to you in person. But with our full team in Toronto ready to work with you, we can still cover all aspects of your outdoor area projects and get you the information and/or materials you need. We’ve started doing some industry match events and trade shows again, so our Toronto team will see you at those.

All that said, as we move through early 2023, let us re-introduce ourselves to you. If you think all outdoor furniture suppliers are the same, I will suggest to you, we are not.

ARD Outdoor is not a huge company. We do not have a global footprint. We’re not a large corporation that has been bought up, sold, and bought up again by an even larger corporation. We are proudly a 3rd generation, family run company based out of the great City of Toronto, that has been producing beautiful outdoor furniture for almost 60 years now.

We started out as a mattress manufacturer. We were then asked to make cushions for outdoor furniture (to this day, we still make our cushions). Then we moved over to making outdoor furniture. We’ve never stopped since.

We’ve been producing furnishings specifically for the Hospitality industry for well over 30 years now. In that time we have been the source of engaging outdoor spaces for some of the finest hotels, resorts, country clubs, restaurants, spas, condos and mixed-use properties (and others) throughout North America. Our furniture is seen from Whistler, BC to Key West, from Catalina Island, CA to Kennebunkport, ME, Toronto to Austin, Seattle to Miami Beach, and even down to Baja California and over to Dubai.

We have worked, and continue to do so, with fine architect and design firms of all sizes, purchasing firms, hotel corporate offices, hotel management companies, restaurant groups, developers, spa resorts, and others.

We offer an extraordinary range of work, using a huge array of different materials, crossing multiple styles. Grade ‘A’ teak from Indonesia, HDPE weave, cartenza, stainless steel, aluminum, resin and other materials. We are constantly looking at new materials and always working on new designs, new looks for the outdoor spaces.

Recently, we have partnered with Vondom, the high style Spanish company that produces beautiful and striking resin furniture to open their first Canadian flagship store located in Toronto. This store will feature everything Vondom.

We can work with you to create the fit for the outdoor, or indoor, areas you are working on. If our current collections don’t fit with what you’re looking for, we have the capability to make what matches your vision through customization.

With ARD Outdoor, you have both our own huge range of styles and materials, plus the entire line from Vondom to select from. We stock huge inventory of ARD and Vondom in Toronto, but are always bringing in additional products from our factories in Indonesia and China. All cushioning for ARD is still done on premise by our own team in Toronto. We’re a Sunbrella stocking house, so you have over 250 Sunbrella fabrics to select from as we make the cushions to order. We also work with COM all the time.

In addition, we’re a Dekko and Tuuci dealer. We offer an interesting array of other outdoor area accessories (lighting, planters, etc.) to add to your environment.

Since we are not a global corporate entity, you’ll be working with the same people every time you reach out to us. Among them, the owner of the company, Richard Bockner, and others in Toronto including some you may know like Yulia Little, Calvin Leyco, Lynn Slade, and others who you will soon get to know.

So, we’re looking to remind the hospitality industry that you do have choices. You do not need to look at the outdoor areas as an afterthought. Covid taught us that people love being outdoors. If you’re not creating great outdoor spaces in your property or project, you’re selling yourselves short. The outdoor spaces are the selling point.

Let us help you create those great hospitality spaces.
